Braineez ("the app", "we", "us") is an Android application published by GGames Softworks. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
TL;DR: Everything you do in Braineez — your saved facts, reading history, streak, chosen avatar — stays on your device. We have no account system and no cloud sync. Three things do leave your device: Google AdMob shows the ads that keep Braineez free; if you choose to send us a report about a wrong fact, a wrong quiz answer or a bug, that report is uploaded so we can fix it; and if the app hits a technical error it sends a short crash report by itself, so we find out about breakage nobody is able to report by hand.
The app stores the following information in your device's local storage (localStorage / app-private storage). This data stays on your device and is not uploaded anywhere:
You can wipe all of this at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete profile. Uninstalling the app also removes it.
Braineez shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process the following information in order to show relevant ads and to measure ad performance:

On Android 13+ you can reset or delete your Advertising ID from Settings → Privacy → Ads. On older versions, the equivalent is under Settings → Google → Ads.
If you make the "Remove ads" in-app purchase, AdMob is no longer loaded and none of the above data is collected.
If you choose to buy the "Remove ads" option, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your payment details — all we learn is whether the purchase succeeded. See Google's privacy policy.
The app has a report button on facts, on quiz questions and in Settings. It is entirely optional. No report of this kind is uploaded unless you fill one in and tap send. (Crash reports, described in section 2.4, are sent automatically — they are the one exception.) When you do, the report is stored in Google Cloud Firestore so we can find and fix the problem.

Please do not type personal information into the note field — we only need to know what is broken.
To create that anonymous identifier the app signs in anonymously to Firebase Authentication when it starts. This creates no account, asks for no credentials, and is not linked to any identity of yours.
Reports are kept only as long as they are useful for fixing content and bugs. If you want your reports deleted, write to adamgresko8@gmail.com — mention roughly when and what you reported, and we will remove them.
If the app hits a technical error — for example a screen that fails to load — it sends us a short technical report by itself, without asking you. We added this because the report button in section 2.3 only works while the app is still working: if the app breaks on startup there is no screen and no button, and we would never learn that anything was wrong. Crash reports go to the same Google Cloud Firestore storage and are marked as automatic.

These are technical descriptions of program code, not of you. A crash report contains nothing you have typed, no profile contents, and no record of which facts you read. Very occasionally an error message can quote a fragment of the data the app was processing at that moment — for example the title of a fact.
To stop a broken app from flooding us (and your connection), crash reports are strictly limited to 4 per app start and 12 per day, and the same error is only ever sent once.

Braineez does not collect, store, or transmit:
The app has no login, no cloud sync, and no social features. Apart from the reports described in sections 2.3 and 2.4, the app uploads nothing about how you use it — no analytics, no reading history, no usage statistics.
If you enable the daily reminder, Android schedules a local notification on your device at the time you chose. The notification is generated locally — nothing is sent from our side. You can turn it off anytime in Settings → Daily reminder, or via your device's notification settings.
Braineez is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. The app contains ads, which is why we do not recommend it for younger children.
Since Braineez does not collect personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You exercise your rights directly:
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at the same URL with an updated "Effective date". Material changes will be announced via the app's "What's new" release notes.
